Zoé is a French teacher based on Réunion Island. She contacted me a few weeks ago to ask if I’d be up for answering a few questions about my teaching style.
Of course, I said yes! It was a bit intimidating since I had never done this before, but it turned out to be a great challenge.
Zoé specializes in teaching French to athletes and was particularly interested in my Run in French and Yoga in French courses.
We soon realized that we have a lot in common in our practice as French teachers: both of us working outside of Paris and trying to share the French language in slightly unconventional ways.
For me, that means using Marseille as a classroom: enjoying walks, visits, and runs that help my students almost forget they’re learning (!) which, in the end, helps them learn better!
For Zoé, it’s about hiking along the beautiful trails of Réunion Island, fostering group synergy, and encouraging genuine human connections.
I hope you’ll enjoy our “blabla.” It gave me the opportunity to better articulate my pedagogical views while sharing my background and the journey that led me to where I am today: a very happy French teacher and business owner in Marseille.
